New Map Preview: Facility

If you've spent any time playing the unskinned version of the Facility map, prepare to be amazed. Our artists have outdone themselves with the finished look for this popular Open Beta test map, which goes into rotation with the Facility Update.

Desert Installation

Facility sends pilots back into the Illalian desert where structures exist that haven't been touched by the Hawken virus... yet. As the images below show, the map is a pristine, functioning installation set in the middle of a windswept desert plain surrounded by rocky spires that create a series of paths around the industrial complex.

I think I've slipped from hating tech to a grudging dislike of it.  Hell, I've even played one on occasion when my team was desperate or my connection very laggy.  I still think they're not a good design though, they need some major fixing as they promote a less fun meta.  I've decided to just stick around, wait for a better meta, and have what fun I can in this one.

Anyway, facility's looking great.  Beautiful cliffs there and I like the addition of more cover dotted around.  I see we've stuck with the pristine white surfaces even after testing, though the brightness seems less harsh now.  I like the overall layout and architecture, sleek, new and interesting.

Cavorite, the material that makes your mechs light enough to boost and dash. HAWKEN: Genesis has the full lore behind it. We'll also be adding more backstory to the maps in coming days.

I am a sucker for backstory. Can never get enough.
This truly reminds me how lucky we are to have this game... and for free? It doesn't make sense.

The map looks awesome, indeed. It's gonna be a pleasure to play on it. :D

Just a suggestion.:
Also I find posting the minimap is one more nice and useful touch in the preview post. We should have minimap pictures of every map in the game to, for example, organize strategies and tactics. Read clans here as well.

Definitely an outstanding work, guys there at AG. Congrats! ;)

can they add more emphasis to the floating rocks, maybe some huge levitating pillars of stone around the outskirts?
