If it becomes a CHOICE, then yes.
If it becomes MANDATORY; HELL NO.

I already don't care for getting gangbanged by 5-6 enemies at once, let alone up to 12 of the ornery twits...

If they bring out the maps to suit it then I wouldn't have a problem with a big TDM mode, I'd probably only play it with people on my friends list, though.

they have already experimented with this in closed beta 3. the maps, engine, graphical load are too great and the size of the hitboxes on the mechs makes it unplayable. they have already spoken on the issue and if it does come it wont be for a very long time

Those servers were awesome(aside from enemy sighted). I don't know what you guys are talking about.

The second we get dedi support I'm hosting a 24 man DM server and a 32 man missile.

You'd have to restrict this to much larger maps. The current maps are way too small for this :P.

I never had any issues with lag on those servers that was worse than any other server. I'd expect private servers to handle the stress even better than the official ones as well. There was the occasional post-game drop, but that happened on all the servers at that point.

The narrow pathways thing was never an issue for me because back then we got better shields. The way the game is now it'd be harder to deal with.

It was a battlefield filled with enemies. Glorious in every regard. Every death felt absolutely amazing.

Nah... The maps and the gameplay speed doesn't support it.
It's way too easy to get a kill by focusing on a chokepoint, and once caught there you won't get away. A spam of high-radius ToW's would make the game unplayable when you become engulfed in explosives from all angles.
