Yes, the key is to get in close and pretend your having a good old showdown. You'll receive damage from the Grenadier's weaponry, but he'll also be receiving a hell of alot of splash damage, and if you have more health/ your opponent has low health, you should win. This is how my Cupcake gives hugs to Grenadiers...

For the record, the RevGL:
Does 94 DPS (higher than the AR, SMC, Slug, and uncharged HEAT cannon)
Takes 18.7 seconds to overheat (lowest heat gen in the game)
Fires an average of 1.18 nades/second (highest explosive ROF)
Has an AOE radius of 15m (higher than uncharged heat, the next closest explosive ROF)
AND it does 80 damage/shot (on par with the slower, lower AOE HEAT cannon shots)
Granted, TWO of these stats are going to change tomorrow (damage and DPS) but the ROF HEAT and AOE should stay the same just going off of the patch notes

The weapon is flat out better than its competitors on paper even without the stunlock bug, and the low heat, ROF and AOE radius make it an extremely forgiving weapon. Additionally, area denial is monstrously good in objective based gamemodes (IE Missile Assault, which is the closest to comp gameplay this game currently provides), so the Rev only becomes more attractive as a weapon choice in high end play

Im interested to hear whether or not wartime soldiers whine to their commanding officers about artillery being op because of the fact its so much more powerful than m16s, grenades and light antitank weapons...

Hed probably yell back, BUT ITS WEAKNESS IS ITS LACK OF MOBILITY SOLDIER. NOW STOP B!&CHING AND KILL THEM

I just had a nightmarish siege match on Bazaar against an EMP user Rev-GL spammer grenadier. The worst part is that I managed to lower their health to about ~50 all the time (even more of them once) but they furthermore outnumbered us and worked together when my team was picking flowers and were busy launching the ship when it was under maximum enemy control. I know the last parts are irrelevant to this topic but I had to write it out of me to realease the steam. :-]
