Problem with the launcher

Hello everyone, I have heard about Hawken and have watch many vids on youtube about it, and it look awesome so I went and downloaded the launcher, but I have a problem with the launcher after I sign in, and it comes up with " Downloading Time Estimating time Bytes 2,82MB remaining Speed 0.0 kB/s"  and stays like that for quite sometime before it comes up with "unable to contact reliable source". I have re-download the launcher and have try many times, but still it keeps coming up with that. Could you plz tell me how to fix it or what is wrong with it. Thank you xXStrafingXx :), and sorry if I put it in the wrong forums area I wasn't sure which was the right one.

Note that these instructions are basically this support article. I first went for the article, but when I went there, entire categories were missing (including the one with that article) , so I wrote this post duplicating the instructions. Then I checked again and everything was back to normal. Huh. Anyway, try this:

Click the gear icon in the top right of the launcher after signing in.

If that doesn't work, close the launcher. Access your Hawken program folder. The default location, if you have a 64-bit version of Windows, is:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MeteorEntertainment\Hawken\InstalledHawkenFiles\

If you have a 32-bit version of Windows, the (x86) part won't be there. If you installed it to a different location, I hope you can remember where it is.

Delete the file named Hawkenlauncher.version but do not delete any other file. Reopen the launcher and sign in, and cross your fingers.

Also, do you have any security software installed? e.g. ESET, Kaspersky, etc.

I have click on the gear after signing in and it says " Verify not available while launcher is busy" and before you commented I went and look through the Bug Forums and see of any other players have had the problem and there was that had the same problem and someone said to do what you have said to do and I have done that but now it comes with the same thing " Unable to contact reliable source it , and I have double check that I only deleted HawkenLauncher.version, and still it didn't work.

The message "verify not available while launcher is busy" occurs when you are not logged in. As the article states, you do need to be logged in. Please log in and then click the Verify button.

Yeah I have though, I sign in and click the gear button after I sign in but it says it can't verify while launcher is busy

It sure is. What's the full name of the McAfee software installed? (e.g., MacAfee Security Suite or something)

same problem here. after i uninstalled my game, i tried downloading the whole game again. the installer crashes at 1876MB left. each time. even on a different computer.

HELP!!!
