Makano45, SecretSociety,
check "detailMode=1" in "HawkenSystemSettings.ini"
and change it to "detailMode=0" (if it not), it can increase fps by 5-10 on a big maps like frontline, eco, etc.


well... wait until someone not trying run hawken with config on tablet... xD
 


Shoot, I gotta check that. I remember messing with it to see what looked different with it set to like 10, and idk if I ever switched it back. I might have been gimping my fps for the last 6 months...

I am using the soft cfg ,but the texture are way to low i cant even see the paintjob on the mecs 

 

Can someone tell me wich settings i need to change for that?

Yes. It's a mod affecting gameplay, and mods affecting gamplay in multiplayer are a no-no.
Just bite the bullet and play at 100 fps.

devs say it is not restricted (i mean, play with config), so... it doesn't matter.

 
if you want to convince us to play without a config, force developers to remove some trees from LostEco and remove unnecessary parts of the maps that are below the map, or out of player sight and optimize mech cockpit.
and people can play without config if these stupid maps will not crush the game or fps drop. easy solution.

added instruction for disable mouse smooth/accel

personally, i use it due to my ball-mouse. result can be Different if you use optical mouse, or high $ pro-mouse (i can't test it cuz i'm hobo :D)
it also required "personal tweaking" for every one.

the result of this changes by my personal experience. It really help me with using close-range weapons like flak, kla, smg, etc.
but this is negative when i trying to use sniper-rifles, probably it is doesn't related with config, and caused by my mouse, but i'm ok with SA :D
probably cuz i'm "sciri gud" with it. lol, obviously not. ^_^

Just wanted to say thanks for this graphics mod.

It helped me achieve a playable fps on my laptop while I saved up the gold to buy a new puter.

havent looked at the rest yet but i might try a few things

personally think, devs should make this in hawken as "default settings". i think it can increase accuracy of many nubs who can't shoot in scouts and have poor accuracy. 
and it is more comfortable to play, and more enjoyable than default settings.

The plastic config is fine, but...How can I get the texture of the kla rocket back?
It's very difficult for me to calculate the rocket trajectory with this level of detail.

no point, the game has poor optimization don't waste your time in trying to get performance. just wait for the update that is suppose to come this year.

lol. optimization is not the ?1 point.
config is about gameplay. this game no need graphics to play in it. gameplay > graphics

in HawkenSystemSettings.ini
TextureDetailLevel=2
GraphicsQualityLevel=0

also, you can try use "read only" on config. doesn't matter you have 64 bit windows or not if you change it through config.

here how it should be in options

check "High textures" (for 64bit only) in game options menu.
the same, if you use Ultra" or "medium", you should change [TextureSettingsUltra] or [TextureSettingsLow] text block

keep in mind, to make explosions looking good, you also need change
TEXTUREGROUP_EffectsNotFiltered 
and probably
TEXTUREGROUP_Lightmap

note. Here is no "Explosion" or "smoke" group for textures. if you increase TEXTUREGROUP_Effects, you also increase quality of: bullets, smoke texture, lighting effects, some part of map wall/ground textures, and other stuff.

Can we put the files in a Pastebin, dude?

Something that isn't glitchy as fuzzy bunny and doesn't require an account just to download a text file ?

if you tell me how, i put. i'm not place many thing in internet so i just don't know how. if you want help, you can place it on pasterbin and give me a links, i place it in topic.

probably it is related with your browser. try google chrome.
i try put it in some other place and made some other links, just quite busy right now, it takes some amount of time for me.

I'm added an "alternative links" for configs (in first post), to my personal yandex.disk cloud. if you see the web-page on russian languga, just press "???????" (white button in top-right corner), but i'm 90% sure, the website can switch language automatically depend on from which country user went to it, but maybe i'm too naive xD)
let me know if it works, or no.

just wanted to say how i enabled amd overdrive to overclock two of my cores to max and set hawkens process affinity to match those two cores then underclocked the other two cores and set all of my processes in task manager (minux amd overdrive or else u cant clock all cores) to affinity those two cores so system runs on minimum and game runs on maximum this sped my game up insanely

yes. i'm too lazy for dis. programmer rule ?1 - don't touch it, if it working fine. 
to be honest, i don't see any reason to do something before(if) RLD update.
